Way out with the mileometer guess yesterday, your roving riding rem reporters are here again..
Today has been another great day.
Packed up Comrie Croft early n headed to meet Allan, Dave & Martyn at Dunkeld 'The Hermitage' (home to this years Atba downhill comp r3). Stunning pine forest, mega tracks, sleet, snow & sun!
Allan the Legend did a sterling job providing uplifts in his big blue van at loads of different areas, starting with the (snow covered) hairpintastic downhill course, then taking in many miles of fantastic long descents on another 3 or 4 trails as we moved about.
The mountains peeped through the trees as you haired down, mud n snow spattering everywhere, and we were all buzzing off non stop Mountain boarding.
With all sorts of boards being ridden including Nosno perambulators, we did more downhilling in 4 hours than I normally do in a month! Pure mental.
Chris will probably blog about it so check out North West freeride in Rem's links hub :)
We said goodbyes early arvo - thanks you guys! - and took a stroll through the beautiful Hermitage Lord of the Rings styli: waterfall, trolls, tallest tree in Britain, etc, and then we're off again, the 3 of us heading north toward Aviemore.
Now in the wilds, camping next to a waterfall, fires almost out, snow is dropping, time to hit the tent ready for tomorrows Wolf Tracks.
Awooooo
Night x
